Description

Potential Sources Sought for submitting a proposal for upcoming contract to repair the AFFF Fire Suppression Protection and Wet Sprinkler System, building 194 and 200 at Homestead Air Reserve Station, Miami-Dade County, Florida. The base is located approximately thirty miles south of Miami. The work include but not limit to repairing the existing AFFF Fire Suppression Wet Sprinkler System (valves, nozzles, meter, gauges, etc.) The existing AFFF shall be restored to operating conditions and comply with all Air Force ETLs and National Fire protection Association Standards. The work shall be accomplished by a Florida licensed contractor, with proof of three years of satisfactory experience for completing hanger fire suppression systems of similar magnitude. The acquisition is a Fixed-Priced-Construction contract. The SIC is 1731. The magnitude of the construction is estimated to be between $500 -- $1M. The project performance period is 180 calendar days. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on or about 31 Mar 01. Dates are for estimating purposes only, and may be revised as indicated in the Request for Proposal (RFP). This solicitation is unrestricted and is open to large, small, small disadvantaged, and woman owned businesses concerns. Proposal will be evaluated pursuant of FAR 15.101-2, Lowest Price Technically Acceptable Proposal. All requests for the solicitation package must be made in writing.
