Description
REFUELING RIGGING GEAR SOLICITATION N00604-01-T-A316 The Fleet Industrial Center Pearl Harbor intends to procure the following items FOB Destination, Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard Pearl Harbor, Hawaii: Item 0001: Swivel Hoist Rings; various quantities, various sizes, Crosby or equal. The swivel hoist rings shall meet the technical requirements of ASTM A-322 for material composition and have a minimum breaking strength of at least five times the manufacturer's working load limit. Item 0002: Wire Rope slings, various quantities, various sizes. The wire rope slings shall conform to Federal Specification RR-W-410D, Type 1, Class 3, 6 X 37, extra improved plow steel, independent wire rope core (IWRC) preformed, right regular lay and any construction, uncoated. Item 0003: CM Cyclone Hand Chainhoist or equal, QPLMIL-H-904J, various quantities, various sizes. Chainhoist shall be unpainted and in commercial preservation and packaging. Manufacturer shall provide a written statement certifying that the chain hoist contains no cast iron load bearing parts and a written confirmation that the chain hoist may be subjected to periodic loading testing to 125 (+5/-0) percent of the manufacturer's rated safe working load. Item 0004: Nylon Sling, Lift -all or equal. Manufacturer shall provide written certification of having satisfactorily performed individual proof load test to 200 (+5/-0) percent of the sling's vertical SWL for minimum of ten minutes. Item 0005: Skookum Shackles or equal. Manufacturer shall conduct a proof load test of 200 percent minimum of its rated safe working load limit for a period of at least ten minutes on each shackle. Manufacturer shall also conduct a post load magnetic test particle inspection on each shackle and pin in accordance with NAVSEA Technical Publication T9074-AS-G1B-010/271 using the acceptance criteria of MIL-STD-2035 with no indications greater than 1/16 inch allowed. Items 0001-0005 shall be completely assembled and ready for immediate use upon receipt. The anticipated required delivery date is 13 weeks after the contract award date. Specific requirements are provided in the solicitation, which will be available around February 16, 2001. The anticipated closing date for proposals is 10 calendar days after issuance of the solicitation.
