Description
The proposed contract actions is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received by the closing date of this announcement wil be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A sole source requirement is being planned with EON Communications for the following equipment. 7 ea. Digital Line Crd, 1 ea. System Controller with Multi-shelf, 1 ea Master Concentrator, 1 ea. 400 w Power Supply w/Ring Generator, 1 ea. 16- Port Expansion Cabinet, 8 ea. Blank Panel, 1 ea. Remote Fiber Interface, 1 ea. Fiber Interface, 1 ea. Wall Mount Kit, 90 ea. 18 Button Tel Set Black, 90 ea. 2 x 24 Lcd Display, and 10 ea. 4 x 40 Lcd Display. Interested persons who wish to identify their capabilities or submit proposals must do so by Close of Business, 5:00 pm, Central Standard Time, Monday, February 19, 2001. Identification of capabilities, at a minimum, should include spec sheets of products that the contractor believes they can provide which will meet the requirements and background information regarding the contractor's business. Clauses applicable to this requirement are those found in FAR Part 12, Commercial Items Acquisition. The reason for the sole source: the equipment is required for an expansion to an existing system and therefore must have compatible parts.
