Description

Solicitation Number N00421-01-R-0142 is issued as a request for proposal (RFP). DFARS 252.204-7004 "Required Central Contractor Registration" applies to all solicitations issued on/after 6/1/98. Lack of registration in CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award. Please ensure compliance with this regulation when submitting your offer. The Morale, Welfare and Recreation Department located at the Naval Air Station, Patuxent River, MD has a requirement for qualified aerobic and aqua-aerobic instructors to instruct and monitor class participation. The contractor shall provide qualified instructors at the times and place designated. The contractor shall provide aerobic exercise classes that include floor work, use of step platforms, and hand and leg weights. Aqua-aerobics exercise classes shall include cardiovascular routines for seniors, pregnant women and people recovering from injury or with limited movement. Both types of classes shall be varied so a routine of high and low impact classes are provided to meet the conditioning needs and abilities of patrons. The contractor shall have access to facilities, equipment and most supplies.. The period of performance is for a base year plus four one-year options with a starting date of 01 October 2001. The services are to be performed at the Naval Air Station, Patuxent River, Maryland. The estimated level of effort is 11,700 man-hours, inclusive of option years. The contract type is anticipated to be firm-fixed price. This requirement is 100% small business set-aside. This requirement is a follow-on to N00421-97-C-1020 with Zeiders Enterprises, Inc.
