Description

The work consists of various concrete repairs at Franklin Falls Dam, Franklin, New Hampshire. Concrete repair work includes the following: on the inlet east and west approach walls, leaking horizontal construction joints as indicated on the contract drawings shall be sealed with a polyurethane chemical grout; wall surfaces as indicated on the contract drawings shall be prepared by the hydrodemolition method, and an enhanced shotcrete shall be applied over the prepared surface; existing horizontal and vertical joints shall be re-established after shotcrete application; one vertical joint below the water level on the west approach wall shall be repaired with an underwater patch repair; deteriorated patches at post-tensioned anchor heads on the spillway weir shall be repaired; three ceramic tile gages (at the inlet, outlet and control tower) shall be repaired. Portions of the work will require the use of staging/scaffolding. The estimated cost of the wwork is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. Work shall be completed within 180 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Solicitation shall be made available via the Internet on or about 3/5/01. No paper copies of the solicitation or amendments will be available. Prospective bidders, subcontractors, and plan rooms are required to self-register their firm or office on the Internet to receive the solicitation.
