Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to procure on a non-competitive basis from FMC Corporation, Airline Equipment Division, Orlando, FL one (1) B1200 Aircraft Push Back/Tow Tractor, training and associated data. The equipment is required to have a gross vehicle weight of 120,000 pounds with a drawbar pull (DBP) of 80,000 pounds to tow and push ships with a gross weight of 1900 metric tons. This procurement is to satisfy a requirement for the Israeli Navy. The Government intends to procure these items under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The Government does not own data, drawings, or other specifications to permit full and open competition. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal, which may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses should reference N68335-01-R-0166. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Navy anticipates a firm fixed-price contract. No solicitation will be available for this procurement.
