Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking Architectural/Engineering Firms to submit Standard Form (SF) 254's and 255's for design development and construction period services for the installation of approximately 5760GSF modular office complex, located at the VA Redding, California. This project will be divided into four (4) phases, Planning, Schematic Design, Construction Documents, and Construction Period Services for the Consolidated Contracting Activity, 150 Muir Rd., Martinez, CA. Firms responding to this announcement before the closing date (March 23, 2001) will be considered for selection, subject to any limitations indicated with respect to the size and geographic location of (the) firm. This procurement is restricted to firms geographically located within a 50 mile radius of Redding, California. Selection of firms for interviews and negotiations shall be through an order of preference based on demonstrated competence and qualifications necessary for the satisfactory performance of the type of professional services required, that include (1) past performance capabilities; (2) specialized experience and technical competence, as required; (3) capacity to accomplish the work in the required time; (4) past performance on contracts with respect to cost control, quality of work, and compliance with performance schedules; (5) geographical location and knowledge of the locality of the project, provided that application of the criterion leaves an appropriate number of qualified firms, given the nature and size of the project; (6) any other special qualification required under this announcement by the contracting activity. Firms that meet the requirements described in this announcement are invited to submit SF's 254 and 255 by close of business March 23, 2001 to the Contracting Officer, Mr. Vincent I. Osorio, Consolidated Contracting Activity (CCA/90) 150 Muir, Rd., Martinez, CA 94553. It is the intent of the Contracting Officer to make a firm-fixed price contract award under this procurement.
