Description

It is the intent of the National Library of Medicine (NLM) to procure professional microfilming services on a sole source basis with Preservation Resources, Bethlehem, PA. This continuation of service will provide NLM interim services (approximately three months) to produce preservation-quality microfilm from brittle and rare monographs and serials in NLM's collection during the processing of a competitive contract. Preservation Resources will continue providing camera master, print master and service copy reels on high-contract, continuous-tone, and color microfilm. This company is the only available source for the continuation the preservation microfilming services on an interim period based on their five (5) years knowledge and experience in providing this service to NLM as well as other organizations. Preservation Resources is skilled and capable of completing the current workload within the three month period specified. This services will provide NLM short term services during the evaluation stage for a new contractor. This requirement is being procured using FAR Part 13 -- Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This is not a Request for Quotations (RFQ), nor is an RFQ available, however, all responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by the NLM. Firms interested in responding to this notice must be able to provide professional service as specified and listed above. Responses should sufficiently demonstrate the firm's ability to meet the government's requirements. Responses are required within fifteen (15) calendar days from the publication date of this notice.
