Description

The Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center intends to lease three (3) tractor/trucks to transport laundry/linen between the VA Medical Center and contracting sources. Contract period is from the date of award through September 30, 2001, with four one-year options to extend. Contractor will provide: Vehicles engineered to Government specifications; Maintenance and repair (parts and labor); Preventive maintenance program; Maintenance location within a thirty to thirty-five mile radius of VA Medical Center; 24-hour a day Road Side service (Nationwide); Substitute vehicles (mileage charge only); Discount on additional daily rental trucks; Fuel at bulk pricing; Fuel permits; Fuel tax reporting; License plates and stickers; Title, sales and federal excise taxes; Federal Highway Use Tax (FHUT); Washing; Lettering (to be billed back); Driver Testing and Certification and Safety program. Contractor must provide a maximum of two (2) hours response time for road maintenance (breakdowns, etc.) with back-up tractor trucks provided. Inspection of existing equipment is strongly encouraged. The NAICS is 532120 and the business size is $18.5 Million.
