Description
The US Army Robert Morris Acquisition Center, Natick Contracting Division, has a requirement for Six (6) CLINS, Hose Assemblies as follows: CLIN 0001-Quantity 36 each, Potable, 1.5" x 75', Heat Trace; CLIN 0002-Quantity 24 each, Waste Water, 2.5" x 75', Heat Trace; CLIN 0003-Quantity 24 each, Waste Water, 1.25" x 25', Heat Trace; CLIN 0004-Quantity 24 each, Potable, 1.5" x 75' Heat Trace; CLIN 0005-Quantity 16 each, Hose Assembly, Waste Water, 2.5" x 75', Heat Trace; CLIN 0006-Quantity 16 each, Hose Assembly, Waste Water, 1.25" x 25', Heat Trace. Required Specifications, Ambient Temperature Range: -35 -- 120 degrees F. Operating Voltage: 120 VAC. Power Cable: 4 Foot Length with a NEMA 5-15P plug on the end and a weatherproof boot. Maximum Working Pressure: 150 psi. Must have a temperature control sensor. Core: Natural or Synthetic Rubber. Heating Element: Spiral Wound Resistance Wire. Electrical Insulation: Reinforced Rubber. Thermal Insulation: High Temp Fiberglass. External Jacket: Abrasion Resistant Sleeving, Extruded Polyurethane. Core FDA approved for all food handling and potable water applications. Connections: Male x Female, Brass, Camlocks. The following specifications apply to each specified size hose: Hose Diameter 1-1/4", 1-1/2" and 2-1/2". Maximum Bend Radius 7", 8", and 12". This is a full and open/unrestricted Commercial Item acquisition using Commercial Item procedures outlined in FAR Part 52.212. The NAIC code for this effort is 421720. For the purpose of this requirement, any concern employing 100 or fewer employees is considered a small business. This acquisition will utilize best value source selection and will result in a Firm Fixed Price Type Contract. The Best Value Source selection will be based on the following factors: Delivery Schedule, Past Performance and Technical Ability in that order of importance. The Request For Proposal (RFP) will be posted on the Natick Acquisition Web Site: http://www3.natick.army.mil on or about 12 March 2001. The due date for receipt of RFPs will be specified on the face page at time of issuance.
