Description

This announcement replaces the announcement for this same project advertised February 15, 2000. The project consists of construction of a 1600 member, two-story training building. The new training building will provide sufficient administrative, assembly, education, storage, special training and support areas. The project also includes options for a new combined organizational maintenance shop (OMS) and direct support (DS) maintenance shop facility, new authorized stockage level (ASL)/class ix repair parts and medical supply/class viii warehouse facility, an unheated unit storage building, wash rack, landscaping upgrade, concrete planner, ornamental fencing and irrigation system. Supporting facilities include all site improvement work, telecommunications (interior and exterior) systems, paving, security lighting, wash rack, and utility services. Project requires removal of bituminous and concrete slabs and underground utilities. The project will include providing energy efficient lighting, automated building HVAC/lighting system controls, heating ventilating and air conditioning for all buildings. The project will also include providing a fire suppression sprinkling system in the training building, OMS/DS shop operations facility, and the ASL/medical warehouse. The project will include parking for military and privately owned vhicles. Ft. Gillem is located near Atlanta, GA. The estimated range of this project is $10,000,000 to $25,000,000. This project is available on compact disk only. The CD will be issued on or about March 8, 2001. The NAICS Code is 233320.
