Description

The Flathead National Forest will be advertising a Request for Proposals for the construction/reconstruction of Clack Creek Trail No. 160 on the Spotted Bear Ranger District, Bob Marshall Wilderness Area, Flathead County, Montana. Project consists of 5.1 miles of trail construction and reconstruction work including clearing and grubbing, tread construction/reconstruction, switchbacks, waterbars, culvert, ditch, turnpike, and tread stabilization. Some rock blasting may be necessary. This project is located within the Bob Marshall Wilderness; therefore, no wheeled or motorized equipment will be allowed except for non-motorized wheelbarrows. Issue date, approximately April 4, 2001. The Notice to Proceed will be issued approximately June 1, 2001, with an estimated completion date of September 12, 2002. The Government price estimate range is between $100,000 and $250,000.
