Description
The contractor shall provide all the necessary labor, material, supervision and equipment required to Excavate, Grade and Pave Two Areas, Building 22 and Building 38, Naval Support Activity, Philadelphia, PA. Approximate area to be paved is 2,600 SY of wear course. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 23411. The size standard is $17.0. The estimatd cost range is between $25,000 and $100,000. The resultant contract will be a firm fixed price construction type contract. The procurement will be obtained utilized Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). This solicitation is set aside 100% for small business concerns. The period of performance shall be 60 days after contract award. However, no bituminous paving mixtures are to be constructed between 31 October and 1 April unless otherwise permitted in writing by the Contracting Officer. The solicitation (specification/sketches) will be limited to the electronic medium. Specification/sketches WILL NOT be provided in a paper hard copy format or CD_ROM. The address for downloading this solicitation from the Internet is http://esol.navfac.navy.mil. Registration and downloading from the Internet is free of charge; however, some specifications may take a considerable amount of time to download. All prospective quoters are required to register on the Naval Facilities Engineering Command ESOL website for this procurement when specifications become available. An official plan holder lists will be maintained on and can be printed from the website. If you fail to register, the Government cannot be responsible for your being notified of any amendments to the solicitation. The solicitation will be available on or about 5 March 2001. Notification of any changes to this solicitation (amendments) shall be made only on the internet. Therefore the contractor's responsibility to check the Internet site daily for any posted changes to the solicitation. In addition, all contractors are required to register in the Department of Defense (DoD) Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database. Failure to register in the CCR makes an offeror ineligible for award of DOD contracts. Information regarding this registration may be obtained by accessing the website at http://www.ccr2000.com or by referring to DFARS Subpart 204.703. NOTE: Offerors should submit verification of their firm's registration in the CCR database with their offer.
