Description

NASA/KSC plans to issue an IFB/Request for Offers (RFO) to Refurbish/Upgrade elevator controls,VAB Lowbay and Roof Elevators. Additive Alternate #1, and Options #1, 2 and 3. The order of magnitude for the procurement is between $500,000 to $1,000,000 and the effort shall be completed within 480 calendar days after notice to proceed. The NAICS Code and Small Business size standard are 235950 and 11.5 Million. This procurement is part of the Small Business Competitveness Demonstration Program. All qualified responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. The anticipated release date of the IFB/RFO is on or about March 6, 2001 with an anticipated offer due date of on or about April 6, 2001. The firm date for receipt of bids or offers will be stated in the IFB/RFO. Drawings will be available from the Bid Distribution Office 321-867-2851. ALL QUALIFIED responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. [OMBUSDSMAN STATEMENT IS REQUIRED] An ombudsman has been appointed -- See NASA Specific Note "B". The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement [with the exception of the specifications and drawings]will be available over the Internet. These documents will be in Microsoft Office 97 format and will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
