Description

The Naval Air Systems Command Headquarters (NAVAIR) has a requirement and intends to issue a modification to contract N00019-00-C-0235, with Lockheed Martin Naval Electronics and Surveillance Systems (LM NE&SS) Manassas, 9500 Godwin Drive, Mail stop 250/053, Manassas, VA 20110 for the software engineering and system support necessary to modify and enhance Airborne Operational Program (AOP) software for the AN/USQ-78B Acoustic Upgrade units. The purpose of this effort is to design, develop, and integrate the AOP software into the AN/USQ-78 Upgrade to maintain existing legacy interfaces and commonality with the fielded P-3C Update III systems. This action will be negotiated on a sole source basis with LM NE&SS Manassas under the statutory authority of FAR 6.302-1 (only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements). LM NE&SS is the sole designer, developer, and producer of the source code required to upgrade the software in the timeframe required. The approximate contract award date is 30 April 2001.
