Description
The Marine Corps Air Station, Beaufort, SC has a requirement for Milling Machine as stated below. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Request For Quote M60169-01-Q-J003 applies and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-21 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-17. The standard industrial code 3559 and the business size standard is 500 employees. This requirement is for a firm fixed priced contract for the following items: Milling Machine, versatile long-term performance FFP -- all-purpose mill that includes X and Y axis ball screws with DC Servo motors and 2 or 3 axis controls. Automatic central lubrication system. Multiple knee and table locks. 3 hp, 2hp continuious, AC induction spindle motor with spindle brake. Spindle speed hi 500 to 4200 ipm, spindle speed low 60 to 500 rpm's, spindle diameter 1.875", R-8 spindle taper, spindle guard. Quill diameter 3.375". Range: table travel (x-axis) 32", saddle travel (y-axis) 14.5", quill travel 5", quill travel with 3rd axis is 4.5", knee travel (z-axis) 12", ram travel 17", throat distance min. 6", max. 22", table to spindle nose gage line min. 5", max.17".V-ram with 17" of rack and pinion travel; expanding dovetail locks ram & turrent for rigidity, 360 degree of ram/turrent rotation, 600 pound table capacity or better, power feeds on x and y axis with 100 ipm rapid traverse rates, feed rates variable from 10% to 150%, positioning auto (x,y) 100 ipm (2540 mm/min), manual (x,y) 100 ipm (2540 mm/min), machine and control performance; positioning accurancy 0.001" (0.025mm) over saddle, positioning repeatablilty 0.0008" (0.02 mm) over saddle, input resolution 0.0001" (0.003mm), servo resolution 0.0001" (0.003mm), display resolution, 0.0001" (0.003mm), full 3-axis dro, simultaneous 2-axis linear of 2 axis circular interpolation, 9" monochrome conversational display, absolute incremental programming, automatic corner rounding, mathematical help modes, canned cycles for matching arcs, diagonals, circles, bolt hole patterns, pocket milling, cutter diameter compensation, english/metric conversion, 1000 block program storage, disk storage: (standard) 3.5 in. diskette, hd 1.44 mb (12,000ft), 32mb pc flashdisk, chrome plated ways, electrics: NFPA/NEMA12 standards.Acceptance shall be made at destination. The required delivery date for the above items is 10 days after receipt of order. The provisions at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offers Commercial Items applies. The Government will award a purchase order resulting from this Request for Quotation to the technically acceptable, responsive, responsible offeror based on price alone. Offerors are required to complete and include a copy of the following provisions with their proposals: FAR 52.213-3, Offer Representation and Certification-Commercial Items. FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions with following conditions to paragraph (o) Warranty additionally the government will accept the manufacturers standard commercial warranty. DFARS 252.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes of Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items, applies with the following clauses applicable of paragraph (b); DFARS 252.206-7000, Domistic Source Restriction; DFARS 252.219-7003, Small, Small Disadvantaged and Women-Owned Small Business Subcontracting Plan; DFARS 252.225-7001, Buy America Act and Balance of Payment Program; DFARS 252.225-7012, and Preference for Certain Domestic Commodities. The request for quote is to be priced FOB "destination" FAR 52.247-34. Notes to offerors: (1) Offerors are responsible for providing products specifications that substantiate their product, similarity to the product being requested. (2) For each item offered, the offeror shall show (a) unit price/cost and (b) extended price/cost for the quantities shown. (3) Offerors are to include completed copies of FAR 52.212-3 and DFARS 252.212-7000 with their proposal. (4) Offeror is required to provide their contractor's DUNS number and CAGE code with their proposal. (5) Offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database as a condition of contract award. (6) Offerors must acquaint themselves with the regulations concerning commercial item acquisition contained at FAR Part 12.
