Description

U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), Research and Special Programs Administration, Office of Contracts and Procurement, DMA-30, Room 7104, 400 7th St., SW, Washington, DC 20590, intends to negotiate a sole source simplified acquisition with the National Academies under authority of 41 U.S.C. 253 (c)(1), as set forth in FAR 6.302-1, to continue support of Transportation Research Board (TRB) Core Technical Activities. The TRB is a unit of the National Research Council, a private, nonprofit institution that is the principal operating agency of the National Academy of Sciences and the National Academy of Engineering. The TRB mission is to promote innovation and progress in transportation by stimulating and conducting research, facilitating the dissemination of information, and encouraging the implementation of research results.
