Description

This solicitation is to provide Medical Transcription Services to two particpating facilities within VISN 10: Dayton Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) and Chillicothe Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC). The contractor shall provide all labor, management, supervision, materials, supplies and equipment (unless specified otherwise), and shall plan, schedule, coordinate and assure turnaround time ranges from 4 hours for STAT reports and 24 hours for routine reports. Transcription Services are required 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, and require immediate access to Contractor personnel via telephone. Transcription Services shall be performed at the Contractor's place of business, outside the premises of the VA facilities. The estimated number of lines of transcription is 4,100,000 per year. Material to be transmitted includes a high incidence of technical, medical terminology and requires a wide knowledge of specified vocabulary peculiar to a wide variety of subjects in the fields of medicine, surgery, psychiatry, neurology, rehabilitation, dental, imaging and anatomic pathology. The contract shall be for one base year, with the Government having the option to exercise four one year periods. Evaluations will be made in the following order of importance with price being equal to 20% and technical and past performance equal to 80%. Proposals must include enough information to adequately evaluate all criteria: incomplete proposals will be rejected.
