Description

The Corps of Engineers has a need for a contract for Rehabilitation of Tract 224, Grays Landing, Glassworks, Monongahela Township, Greene County, Pennsylvania. The work consists of rehabilitating an existing fire-damaged, two-story log structure. The work includes selective demolition, log framing restoration, masonry work, carpentry work, installation and finishing gypsum board and ceramic tile, installation of wood and aluminum doors and wood windows, installation of carpeting and resilient flooring, application of shingle roofing, plumbing, heating, and electrical work. Because of the fire damage, portions of the structure cannot be considered to be safe and stable, and special precautions will be required to ensure safety of personnel and stability of the structure. The period of performance will be 300 calendar days. Magnitude of the project is between $250,000 and $500,000. The plans and specifications will be placed on Compact Disk (CD-ROM) and will be provided free of charge. Plans and specifications will not be provided in a printed paper hard copy format. The CD's will be available approximately 03/19/00. This procurement is unrestricted.
