Description

The Government intends to purchase on a sole source basis enhancements to the Cobalt computational fluid dynamic (CFD) solver code from Cobalt Solutions, LLC, 4636 New Carlisle Pike, Springfield, OH 45504-3336. Cobalt is the original developer of the specialized computer code and is responsible for all of the algorithm development included in the code. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541511 with a size standard of $18.0 million. The contract shall be a firm fixed price purchase order with a three-month period of performance. Simplified Acquisition Procedures shall be used. A written solicitation will not be issued. All interested parties may submit responses by identifying their interest and capabilities to the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, 17320 Dahlgren Road, Dahlgren, VA 22448-5100 or by fax at (540) 653-7088. Closing date is 13 March 2001 with an anticipated award date of 16 March 2001. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Dahlgren Procurement Division has implemented Electronic Commerce (EC) in the acquisition area; therefore, synopses and resulting solicitations with any applicable amendments will be available on the World Wide Web at http://www.nswc.navy.mil/supply.
