Description

The Defense Information Systems Agency intends to ward a sole source commercial contract to SUN Microsystems, Inc., 901 San Antonio Road, Palo Alto, CA 94303. This acquisition is for two Enterprise 3500 servers to include: base package, UltraSPARC module, Exx00 CPU/memory board, EXX00 graphics I/O board, power/cooling module, FC-AL hot swap, SunSwift 100baseT fast/wide SCSI Sbus adapter, localized power cord kit, 127-GB Sun StorEdge A5200 table top array, 72-inch StorEdge expansion rack, FC-AL interface board, FC-AL 100MB/sec GBIC module, Veritas volume Manager 3.0.4, Creator 3D, dual hub rack mount, A5000 rack mounting kit, and fan assembly for 72" expansion cabinet. This synopsis is a notice of intent to issue award other than full and open competition and should not be considered a request for competitive proposals. The determination of the Government not to open subject requirement to full and open competition was made IAW FAR 6.302-1 and 10 USC (c)(1) -- and is solely at the descretion of the Government.
