Description

The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13. This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The information required by FAR Subpart 12.6 is included in the on-line RFQ linked above or it may be accessed at http://procurement.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/EPS/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin= NASA/GSFC plans to acquire a resolution application server with one year of maintenance and support and client access licenses (CAL) with one year of mainenance and support: 1. Resolution Application Server Part Number: RES-PROD-SRV Qty: 1 EA 2. Maintenance and Support (1 year) Part Number: RES-MNTCS-SRV Qty: 1 YR 3. Client Access License (CAL) Part Number: RES-PROD-CAL Qty: 25 EA 2. Maintenance and Support (1 year) Part Number: RES-MNTCS-CAL Qty: 25 EA The provisions and clauses in the RFQ are those in effect through FAC 97-17. All qualified responsible business sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Quotations for the items(s) described above are due by 5:00 p.m. on 03/18/01 and may be mailed or faxed to Russellyn Rogers, Code 211, Greenbelt, MD 20771, Fax (301)286-9483 and include, solicitation number, FOB destination to this Center, proposed delivery schedule, discount/payment terms, warranty duration (if applicable), taxpayer identification number (TIN), identification of any special commercial terms, and be signed by an authorized company representative. Quoters are encouraged to use the Standard Form 1449, Solicitation/Contract/Order for Commercial Items form found at URL: http://procure.arc.nasa.gov/Acq/Forms/Index.html to submit a quotation. Quoters shall provide the information required by FAR 52.212-1. If the end product(s) quoted is other than domestic end product(s) as defined in the clause entitled "Buy American Act -- Supplies," the quoter shall so state and shall list the country of origin.
