Description

DESC: (i) This is a Potential Sources Sought for Commercial Equipment and Supplies. (ii) GENERAL INFORMATION: This is a market research survey to locate sources of instruments or devices for the detection of illicit drugs concealed in mail envelopes and packages. The primary use is for mailroom drug screening operations. Desired features and characteristics include the following: high throughput (500 envelopes per hour), high sensitivity (range of targeted drug quantities: 1 nanogram to 10 grams), detection of a wide range of drug types, low false alarm rate, and operation by non-technical personnel. Information is sought on all systems deemed suitable for this purpose, including chemical trace detection, x-ray, and CT scan systems. (iii) No special format for this information is required. Current catalogs, pamphlets, data sheets, etc. will be accepted.
