Description

This solicitation is issued as a Commercial Item Acquisition under the guidelines Of FAR Subpart 12. The VA North Texas Health Care System (VANTHCS), 4500 S Lancaster Road, Dallas, Texas 75216 has a requirement for (1) half-time Locum tenens Physician Board Certified Psychiatrist. This person will evaluate and treat patients with a variety of mental disorders, Including co-morbid substance abuse, in a multidiscipline team. Treatment will be provided in an Outpatient setting, however some inpatient work may be required. Services will include evaluation of New patients, provide pharmacotherapy and psychotherapy to established patients, complete documentation in the medical records, and provide psychiatric consultation to other mental health Care providers, and other medical staff as directed. Other duties will include performing clinical Psychiatric interviews, rating scales for psychiatric symptoms, documentation, interpretation of Laboratory and EKG results. Services shall be provided starting on or about 3/12/01 through 8/5-01 With an option period of 39 days. Clinic hours are Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with A half-hour for lunch. This is a 20 hour per week schedule, which will be negotiated between the Locum tenens physician and the Blue Team Leader. There will be no On-Call, Holiday coverage, or Overtime required.
