Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons intend to award one (1) VT Business Education Instructor. All duties will be performed at the Federal Correctional Institution/Federal Satellite Low-Elkton,Ohio. The contractor will be responsible for teaching and managing a business education program. Instructions will include, at a minimum, a general understanding of basic business concepts (topics and level of instruction would be comparable to high school and/or community education classes. Instruction is expected to be as individualized and self-paced as possible. Various teaching methods and styles should be utilized. Enrollment will range from 12 -- 20 students per class. The term of the contract will be from date of award through 12 months and include four -- (one year) option periods. A current teaching license is not required, the contractor, at a minimum, must meet nationally and stated-recognized accreditation and certification. The contractor will conduct approximately twelve (12) sessions per week. Each session is defined as one (1) hour in length, three (3) sessions per day, 4 days a week, Tuesday through Friday, 7:30 A.M. -- 10:30 A.M. The total number of hours per week cannot exceed 30 hours per week. Solicitation packages will be mailed on approximately March 10, 2001, with an approximate due date of March 28, 2001.
