Description

U -- The US Army War College, Army Physical Fitness Research Institute is soliciting proposals for a TYPE "A" Behavior Modification program at Carlisle Barracks, PA. The primary target audience for this effort is the AWC resident students, which are LTC or Colonel or high-ranking civilian leaders, age 40 to 50. All of these students have been diagnosed as exhibiting excessive TYPE "A" behavior, which may contribute to future coronary disease. Requirements include: A One top reputation motivation researcher/speaker to a large audience of students and spouses, with periodic research consultations with APFRI, B Eight each, two hour behavior modification group therapy sessions with 8-14 of the most needy Type "A" students and C Eight each, two hour group therapy sessions for 12-20 spouses on coping with Type "A" behavior. Tasks B and C may be delivered by local therapists, in consultation with the motivational researcher/speaker. Additional groups may be needed. All diagnostics and recruitment shall be performed by APFRI. The period of performance is intermittent during Academic Year 02 (August 2001 -- May 2002), with an option for AY03.
