Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Lakehurst, NJ intends to enter into negotiations with the sole source of supply, Essex Electro Engineering Inc., Il. The NAWCAD intends to procure 15ea. Multi-voltage Load Banks (P/N A525) in support of the AV-8B aircraft. This item provides a means to supply a 753 watt (2.2 AMP) load to the Static Inverter 15v, 400HZ output and a 25 watt load to the Static Inverter 26v, 400HZ output. The Load Bank is required to accomplish functional and fault isolation testing. The acquisition is for supplies which the Government does not own specifications or drawings. Essex Electro Engineers Inc. is the only known source with the knowledge, experience, and technical data required to perform this effort. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal, which may be used by the government in determining whether or not to open this requirement to competition. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals must be received within 15 days. Responses should reference N68335-01-R-0192. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based on the responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. (SEE Note 22 ).
