Description

Background "Provide, install and test an automated storage and retrieval system for Base Supply, Building 822, at Patrick AFB FL. The system consists of modular offices, a sortation/distribution conveyor system, pallet and cantilever rack, wide-span shelving, a rail-guided order-picker system, and a mobile aisle system. The project includes training of government personnel on the operation and maintenance of the equipment. Plaisted has been appointed as Ombudsman to hear concerns from offerors, or potential offerors, during the proposal development. The purpose of the Ombudsman is to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. Existence of an Ombudsman does not diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer.
