Description

The US Army Research Laboratory, Weapons and Materials Division, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005, intends to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the purchase of R & D Services for the Ab initio, quantum mechanical calculations will be performed to provide interaction potentials between Tantulum (Ta) atoms and iron surfaces and other studies. A detailed Statement of Work will be made available in the RFQ once released. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). ARL intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302 with Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, OK. This source has proven to possess the necessary expertise, facilities, technical skills, and capabilities to meet and accomplish the Government's requirement and time contraints. Interested companies have 15 days from the publication of this synopsis to submit in writing via FAX 410-278-6522 to the identified point of contact, their qualifications and capabilities.
