Description

The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) is soliciting proposals from individuals or organizations, under FAR Part 13 -- SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION PROCEDURES, with the capability to provide expert clinical advice and technical assistance to HRSA Center for Managed Care regarding Quality Improvement and Clinical Management in a Managed Care Environment. The contractor will be expected to bring expertise directly from the Managed Care Industry to the Center for Managed Care. This advice will result in the following: 1) Enhance the knowledge, skills and abilities of HRSA staff and HRSA funded programs to participate in managed care related to financial aspects of care, quality indicator, and the implementation of disease management techniques; 2) Establish and foster linkages between HRSA and the managed care industry around the financing of care, quality of care and how to measure quality; and 3) Encourage the development of initiatives to improve the performance of HRSA-funded program in relation to managed care. It is anticipated that a nine-month purchase order with a one-year option will be awarded. The solicitation will be issued on or about March 14, 2001, with a closing date on or about March 28, 2001.
