FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN YOUR FIRM NOT RECEIVING A COPY OF ANY ADDITIONAL AMENDMENTS AS WE ARE ONLY SENDING THEM OUT ELECTRONICALLY NOW. PROJECT TITLE: FY01 MILCON Dormitory, Hill AFB, Utah. This proposed contract is 100% reserved for firms under the 8(a) program. It is restricted to 8(a) firms listed with the Utah District Office of the Small Business Administration only. JOB DESCRIPTION: Design and construct a new 3-story 144-person dormitory with interior corridors, and common functions to include, storage, laundry, vending, recreation, telephone, TV, restrooms, study, stairs and access, and other functions to include, admin office, COMM Room, Electrical Room, Mechanical Room, located near other dormitories at Hill AFB. The facility's primary function will be to provide housing to unaccompanied military personnel with some degree of individual privacy. The living space layout will follow new guidance and will provide individual sleeping quarters for each resident with shared kitchen and restroom functions between each two residents. The structure will be permanent construction and include clay masonry unit wall and standing-seam metal roof systems. All electronic systems designed and installed must be Year-2000 and beyond compliant. The project includes demolition/grading, relocation of utilities, utility service connections and runs, fire-protection/life safety systems, EMCS, HVAC, built-in appliances, all necessary conduits and cabling (with the exception of exterior COMM cabling), plumbing, mechanical systems, interior/exterior finishes, exterior lighting, parking, landscape, signage, and all necessary features (interior and exterior) to yield a safe, complete, and useable facility for its intended use. This procurement will be conducted under NAICS Code 233320. The standard size for this NAICS is $27,500,000.00. The Estimated cost range for this project is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. The offerors attention is directed to Section 00100 in the Solicitation for information regarding the tour of the site/pre-proposal conference. CD-ROMS: (NO CHARGE) This project will provide plans and specifications using CD-ROMs only. Hard copies will not be available. Because a limited number of sets will be reproduced, copies are limited to one set per firm. CD-ROMs must be ordered by the CUT OFF DATE of 03/13/01. Plans and specifications can only be ordered electronically by accessing the Internet address http://ebs.spk.usace.army.mil/. Please complete the requested information to avoid a delay in your order. Orders received beyond the CUT OFF DATE of 03/13/01 will not be considered. CD-ROMs will be mailed out on or about 03/21/01. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered by the agency. See Note 26 (See Commerce Business Daily, Monday Edition).
