Description
All Responsible Sources May Submit an Offer/Quote Which Shall be Considered See applicable note number twenty-six, Solicitation Number: SP0740-01-R-5174, PR Number: YPC01046-00-0502, NSN: 3040-01-370-5523, Item Description: Bell Crank, (hook suspension, 14 inch). Corrosion resistant steel material, 0.741 inch thickness, used on the BRU-32A/A bomb ejector rack for the F/A-18 hornet aircraft. Government first article test applies. Government production lot test applies. DSCC (16236) SQAP01-370-5523 applies. First article and production lot test requirements are cited in SQAP01-370-5523. This is a ASO/NAVSEA/AVSDCOM critical application item. Class 3 threads apply to this NSN. Approved sources are as follows: Klune Industries Inc., cage code 05DN8 and part number 1534AS205; Raytheon Technical Services Co., cage code 072E5 and part number 1534AS205; and Lucas Western Inc., cage code 1534AS205. This solicitation is an RFP or IFB and will be available on the Internet at http://dibbs.dscccols.com/rfq on its issue date of 3/28/01. Hard copies of this solicitation are not available. Drawings are posed with the solicitation on the DSCC solicitation web-site. If the drawings are not posted with the solicit- ation, see Clause L07. Availability of drawings for information on how to obtain the drawings, federal military and commercial specifications cannot be provided by DSCC. The proposed procurement contains a 100% option for increased quantities. This is an unrestricted acquisition. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation. Government production lot test (PLT) shall consist of three units. PLT to be completed during production after FAT. PLT units to be shipped to Dayton T Brown per SQAP. All trans- portation charges prepaid by contractor, PLT units shall be delivered to test facility prior to delivery date of production articles to allow sixty days for test and written notification of approval/disapproval. Deliver 100 each to W62G2T ZU Defense Distribution Depot San Joaquin, Stockton CA 95296-0130. Deliver 240 days after date of award. Item 9906 Government First Article Test (FAT) 180 days. The quantity one TE, test signifies the test requirement. See clauses I44 and I44a for information concerning the FAT requirement. Offers that do not cite a price for line item 9906 shall be evaluated under the assumption that there is no separate charge for the FAT. In the event the FAT requirement is waived, no award will be made for line item 9906. Item 9912 are 180 days or as specified for DD Form 1423s, data other than manuals and provisioning. This solicitation includes an option quantity in accordance with clause I30/I30a. It contains multiple option contract line items and exercise periods. Offerors shall insert the available option quantity and price(s) which may be exercised concurrently with or within the specified time period or after the award, but before the expiration of the full option period. A mandatory entry is required for the basic option quantity which will be evaluated at time of award unless the offerors has entered a lower price for the option quantity ranges to be exercised concurrent with the award and there is a requirement available to exercise the option concurrent with the award. Entries for the price break option clin will not be used in evaluation of award. NOTE: Failure to submit an offer on the basic option quantity clin may result in rejection of the bid/offer.
