Description

The U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center (USCG ELC) has a requirement for the purchase of 256 each NSN 9535-01-LG8-0142, STRIP, WEAR, 3" wide X 20" long X 5/8" thick, brass/bronze with graphite inserted plugs. It is possible that the USCG ELC will conduct a reverse auction. Delivery shall be made FOB Destination to the USCG ELC, Curtis Bay, Baltimore, MD. Forty-eight (48) each shall be delivered by June 16, 2001, and 48 shall be delivered each consecutive month thereafter, as per the solicitation, until the full 256 are received. This Request for Proposal (RFP) shall be issued via the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) at www.eps.gov. Hard copies of the Request for Proposal will not be issued. It is incumbent upon contractors to monitor the EPS website at www.eps.gov for RFP release and all subsequent amendments. The date and time for receipt of proposals shall be specified in the Request for Proposal. The applicable North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 331525 and the size standard is 500 employees. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered by the agency. This acquisition is a 100% small business set-aside. See Numbered Note 1. The reverse auction, if it is conducted, will take place during the period from mid-March to early April, 2001. ATTENTION: Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE)! The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of liens or credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
