- This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. QUOTATIONS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The solicitation number is HAQ011019 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation documents and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-22. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 332311, with a small business size standard of 500 employees. This procurement is set aside for small business concerns. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS: Furnish all supplies, materials, and labor to supply and install a 50-foot wide by 150-long by 18-foot eve height with 2-foot eves pole structure for storage of hay in accordance with standard industry practices. The installation site is the Burns District Wild Horse Holding Facility, Hwy. 20 West, Burns, Oregon and is to be located in the southeast area of the parking lot on an existing graded and graveled pad. The structure shall have its sides sheeted from roofline down 4 feet. The ends shall be sheeted down to the bottom of the truss. Columns shall be set on 6-foot deep, concrete-filled holes bored into the ground with Simpson column bases embedded in concrete to support the columns. Grade will be established prior to installation. Electrical supply and potable water is available on-site approximately 200 feet from the site of the work. On-site work may be performed between the hours of 6 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, or as approved by the Government. Structural members shall be designed to meet all pertinent Oregon Codes. Factory painted roof, siding, and trim. Roof and siding shall be white. Trim color shall be beige. The Government will select colors from Contractor-provided color samples. Metal thickness shall be a minimum of 29 gauge. Machine Stress Rated lumber for truss and purlin material shall be used. Utilize pressure treated wood columns. Provide shop drawings, prior to beginning any work, showing all details of the structure for government approval. Drawings shall be stamped with a professional engineers stamp. PACKAGING AND MARKING: The items shall be prepared for shipment consistent with standard commercial practice and in a manner that will ensure transportation and/or delivery to the user in a satisfactory condition and be acceptable to the carrier for safe transportation. The Contractor may use its own practice providing it fulfills these requirements. DELIVERY AND ACCEPTANCE: Deliver FOB Destination on or before June 4, 2001 to the Bureau of Land Management, Burns District Wild Horse Holding Facility, Hwy. 20 West, six (6) miles west of Hines, Hines Oregon. Consignee shall be notified a least two (2) working days prior to delivery. Delivery shall be made between 8:00 and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, holidays excluded. Inspection and acceptance will be made upon the Government's determination the pole building meets the requirements of these specifications. Quotation shall include the price for the contractor furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, transportation and incidentals necessary to provide a pole building in accordance with the terms, conditions and specifications herein.
