Description

The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport, RI, has a requirement for engineering and technical services to support test and evaluation requirements of weapon systems, acoustic sensors, electromagnetic sensors, and related components. Services will include operation, maintenance and installation of electrical, electronic and mechanical test equipment; design, documentation and fabrication of unique electrical/mechanical assemblies to support Sonar Acoustic Target Source (SATS) test events, provide rigging and system maintenance services for acoustic calibrations of underwater transducers made at the Dodge Pond Acoustic Test Facility, Shallow Water Acoustic Tracking (SWATS) test events and Electromagnetic (E/M) sensor tests.Five labor categories, Engineer, Systems I; Engineer, Systems II; Technician, Electrical/Electronics V; Technician, Electrical/Electronics II; and Technician, Mechanical II are required. The estimated level of effort for a proposed five year contract is 46,000 man hours. A Cost Plus Fixed Fee (Term form) type contract is anticipated. Award will be based on Best Value. Technical proposals will be required and technical factors will include Technical Approach, Past Performance and Personnel. This is a follow-on contract to N66604-96-C-A527 with Orion Technology, Inc., 22 Pennsylvania Ave., Niantic, CT. This procurement is 100% set aside for small business.
