Description

In accordance with FAR 13-Test Program for Certain Commercial Items, the Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to negotiate a sole source acquisition with Novadigm, Inc. to acquire their Software Imaging Management Software and Training Kit and Support Services. SSA conducted preliminary market research and of the sources received, Novadigm Inc. was identified as the only source that can provide the RADIA software product.. The software will provide centralized management and support for the unattended distribution of systems and application software across SSA's Local Area Network/Wide Area Network (LAN/WAN). The software must also be capable of interfacing with SSA's Systems Network Architecture (SNA) national communications network. The software must provide the capability to distribute, install and maintain software and data from the host or a designated workstation to other local/remote workstations on a token ring and/or Ethernet LAN with no involvement from the remote user. The software distribution tool must also provide the ability to centrally track, from the host or a designated workstation, all the changes performed to the remote LAN workstations across the Enterprise network. In addition, this software must support the client/server architecture. Software supports services include software installation, testing and technical support. Responses must be received by 3:00 p.m. EST on March 15, 2001. The Government will consider all responses but a determination by the Government not to compete this action is solely under the discretion of the Government. This announcement is neither a request for quotation nor an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation. Requests for copies of a solicitation will not be honored or acknowledged. The Government does not intend to pay for information received. If no viable responses are received by March 15, 2001, the Government will issue a Purchase Order to Novadigm, Inc.
