Description

US Army TACOM intends to procure Qty 4 each, silicon-carbide switches on a sole-source basis from United Silicon Carbide, Inc., a small business located in New Brunswick, NJ. Acquisition using simplified methods under FAR Part 13 and FAR Part 12, Commercial Items, applies. Delivery will be approx. 6 months from award. Description: IT-FET semiconductor device with 600 Vdc, 1 amp rating. Voltage controlled, non-latching, with high temp. (>150 degrees C) operational range. Our market research indicates United Silicon Carbide as the only source capable of meeting this requirement. However, we are willing to consider other sources if they respond to this notice and demonstrate their capability not later than 12 March 2001 -- contact the Buyer in this regard.
