Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons intends to make an award to an individual/group for the provision of professional phlebotomy services to the inmates confined at the Allenwood Federal Prison Camp in Montgomery, Pennsylvania. This award is being set aside 100% for small businesses establishments. The resultant contract would run from the date of award for a base year of twelve months with the possibility of four (4) additional option year periods. The contract would be for an estimated 18 hours per week. The typical work schedule would consist of six (6) sessions each day, three (3) days per week, between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon. Contractor services may not exceed 30 hours per week. Offerors must be able to provide proof of training and experience in the area of phlebotomy and must provide three (3) letters of reference from individuals within this healh care profession. The Contractor will be required to maintain medical liability insurance in the amount of $200,000.00 through out the term of the contract. A security investigation and clearance would be required of the Contractor prior to services being provided within the institution. The solicitation document, RFQ 428-0010-01, will be available on March 6, 2001.
