Description

The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases has a requirement for placement of new and renewal subscriptions to single or multiple addresses for domestic and foreign serials and periodicals in printed and/or electronic format and for related support services. This is a full and open competition under NAICS code 42292. The NIAID anticipates annually placing new or renewal orders for approximately 1,000 serial titles covering scientific, technical, medical, news, entertainment and business related subjects. Basic order and renewal services include placing new and renewal orders for serial publications in all media and pre-paying publishers, providing administrative assistance with claims and other routine areas of communications with publishers regarding serial publications, and providing management reports and related assistance in management of subscriptions. Approximately 95% of the total subscription requirements will be renewals. It is preferred that Offerors have the capacity for on-line account access to include subscription accounting information, on-oine registration for subscriptions and new addresses, and other request for subscription services as well as access to electronic journals and articles and other software and interfaces to manage access, collection development or control of electronic text. The RFP will be issued on or about April 24, 2001.
