Description

NASA/GSFC plans to issue a Request for Quote RFQ-228-21533-0000/721 for 1. one (1) each of a Diesel Fuel Powered Generator with weather housing. The generator is to be 750 kilowatt rated, 277/480 volts, 3-phase, 4-wire 60 HZ, radiator cooling, outdoor configuration, permanent magnet pilot exciters to allow it to sustain up to three hundred per cent (300%) of rated current and permit selective breaker tripping, microprocessor control panel equipped with voltmeter, ammeter, frequency meter, running time meter, 16 fault indicator lamp including pre-alarms, engine gauges including lube oil pressure, water pressure, water temperature and DC volts; and 2. one (1) each of an automatic transfer switch for use with the generator. A complete set of specifications for both items will be included with the Request for Quotation. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR PART 12. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 335312 and 1000 employees, respectively. The DPAS Rating for this procurement is DO C9. The anticipated release date of RFQ-228-21533-0000/721 is on or about March 26, 2001, with an anticipated quote due date of on or about April 9, 2001. All qualified responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed. See NASA Specific Note "B." Prospective offerors must request a copy of the Request for Quotation which will be issued on March 26, 2001.
