- Description
- US Army TACOM-ARDEC is contemplating the award of a five-year multi-year contract for the production of the M762A1 and M767A1 Electronic Time (ET) Fuze for Artillery. The US Army plans to pursue production through a competitively awarded multi-year contract for FY01 thru FY05, limiting competition to the U.S. and/or Canadian sources in accordance with FAR 6.302-3 Industrial Mobilization: Engineering, Development, or Research Capability; or Expert Services. The reason for the authority cited is a) A domestic source (U.S. or Canadian) is necessary to maintain the industrial base, b) a domestic source (U.S. or Canadian) is necessary to accomplish replenishment, and c) the M762A1/M767A1 contains critical technology items and is vital to national security. Quantities are estimated at 100,300 M762A1 and 31,600 M767A1 in FY01; 64,500 M762A1 and 50,900 M767A1 in FY02; 92,900 M762A1 and 34,700 M767A1 in FY03; 109,200 M762A1 and 28,600 M767A1 in FY04; and 58,100 M762A1 and 26,700 M767A1 in FY05. The contract shall contain option quantities for up to 100% of these quantities. The Technical Data Package (TDP) contains sensitive technology included in the Militarily Critical Technology List (MCTL). Therefore the TDP is restricted by the Arms Export Control Act Title 22, U.S.C. Sec 2751 and is subject to DoD Directives 5230.24 and 5230.25. Drawings are marked with limited distribution "D" statement which limits distribution to Department of Defense components and their contractor. The Request for Proposals (RFP) will be available (without the TDP) electronically from the World Wide Web at the following Internet address: http://procnet.pica.army.mil. Send requests for TDP to Marianne Shuster, Contract Specialist, or John Eilenberger, Contracting Officer, AMSTA-CM-CPE, Bldg 10, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806; email mshuster@pica.army.mil or jeilen@pica.army.mil. All requests for TDP must include a certified copy of DD Form 2345, "Militarily Critical Technical Data Agreement." See numbered Notes 8,12,26.
