Description

This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) for the following items. Pneumatically actuated high vacuum viton sealed gate valve with 6" port; MDC PART NUMBER 305004 (or equal) with Option -01 for mechanical position indicators; flange ANSI ASA6 with ID of 6" and OD of 11"; threaded flange 0.75 -- 10 UNC 8 places with bolt patter on 9.5" center; bakable to 150 deg C; body, carriage and gate 300 series stainless steel; air pressure 70 to 100 PSIG; power loss valve closes; leak test 2X10-10 CC/SEC of Helium; vacuum level to 10-9 TORR; seals against 15 PSI differential either direction; quantity 5 each. Hex head set bolts for valves; 0/75-10 X 1-1/2" long stainless steel for use with ANSI ASA6 Flange; 16 bolts per package; quantity 15 each. Pneumatically actuated high vacuum viton sealed gate valve with 8" port; MDC Part Number 305005-4X (or equal) with option -01 mechanical position indic; flange ANSI ASA with ID of 8:0" and OD of 13.5" threaded flange with 8 bolts; 0.75-10 UNC with bolt pattern on a 11.75" center straddling centerline; bakable to 150 deg C; body, carriage and gate 300 series stainless steel; air pressure 70 to 100 PSIG; power loss valve closes; leak test 2X10-10 CC/SEC of Helium; vacuum level to 10-9 Torr; seals against 15 PSI differential either direction; quantity 5 each. Hand actuated high vacuum viton sealed gate valve; MDC Part Number 305002 (or equal) with option -01 mechanical position indicators; flange ANSI ASA with ID of 4" and OD of 9" threaded flange with 8 bolts; 0.375 -- 16 UNC on 7.5" BC straddling centerline; bakable to 150 deg C; body, carriage and gate 300 series stainless steel; leak test 2X10-10 CC/SEC of Helium; vacuum level to 10-9 TORR; seals against 15 PSI differential either direction; quantity 4 each. The provisions and clauses in the RFQ are those in effect through FAC 97-22. The NAICS Code and the small business size standard for this procurement are 332911 and 3491, respectively. The quoter shall state in their quotation their size status for this procurement. All qualified responsible business sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Delivery to MSFC is required within 110 days ARO. Delivery shall be FOB Destination. The DPAS rating for this procurement is DO-C9. Quotations for the items(s) described above are due by 4:30 p.m. (CST), March 19, 2001 and may be mailed, faxed, or e-mailed to Ronald Smith, PS52-K, MSFC, AL 35812, FAX No.: (256) 544-2812, or e-mail: ronb.smith@msfc.nasa.gov and include, solicitation number, FOB destination to this Center, proposed delivery schedule, discount/payment terms, warranty duration (if applicable), taxpayer identification number (TIN), identification of any special commercial terms, and be signed by an authorized company representative. Quoters are encouraged to use the Standard Form 1449, Solicitation/Contract/Order for Commercial Items form found at URL: http://procure.arc.nasa.gov/Acq/Forms/Index.html to submit a quotation. Quoters shall provide the information required by FAR 52.212-1. Addenda to FAR 52.212-1 is applicable, except for: (d), (h), and (i). If the end product(s) quoted is other than domestic end product(s) as defined in the clause entitled "Buy American Act -- Supplies," the quoter shall so state and shall list the country of origin.
