Description

The Naval Sea Systems Command has an estimated requirement for up to 19 Fiber Optic Data Multiplex System (FODMS) DDG-51 Class Shipsets along with equipment for 2 Land Base Test Sites (LBTS) and input/output modules in support of the AN/USQ-82(V) Program. The estimated requirement is for 6 shipsets, equipment for 2 LBTS and input/out modules to be procured in FY01 with options for the remaining quantities as follows: 1 shipset in FY01; 2 or 3 shipsets in FY02; 2 or 3 shipsets in FY03; 2 or 3 shipsets in FY04 and 1, 2 or 3 shipsets in FY05. Solicitation N00024-01-R-5259 will be issued to The Boeing Company, Government Information & Communications Systems, 3370 Miraloma Avenue, P.O. Box 3105, Anaheim, CA 92803-3105 and SierraTech, Sierra Research Division, 485 Cayuga Road, P.O. Box 222, Buffalo, NY 14225-0222 since they are the only qualified FODMS producers of the aforementioned equipment that can meet the Navy's required delivery schedule.
