Description

Channel Islands National Park intends to procure through commercial acquisition on a sole source basis from Western Technical Services, A Division of Focus Communications, Inc., equipment and installation of an analog microwave network which will broadcast the Park's underwater video program from Anacapa Island (20 miles offshore) to the Park's visitor center auditorium located in Ventura Harbor, Ventura County, CA. It is anticipated that an award of this requirement will be made on or about March 25, 2001. Award through competition would create unacceptable delays in fulfilling the park's mission. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice, but will be used to determine if a camparable source is available and more advantageous to the government. a determination by the government not to open this requirement to competition, based upon the written responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no affirmative written response is received, the contract will be awarded without further notice. Interested sources must submit detailed technical capabilities, pricing, and any other information which demonstrates their ability to meet the Park's needs. Detailed capabilities must be submitted to the Contracting Officer listed above at the above address by close of business, Monday, March 19, 2001.
