Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commerical items or services prepared in accordance with format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and a written soliciation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued for Request for Quotation (RFQ No. NIA-01-AW001). The soliciation clause and provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-6. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) for this acquistion is 3629. The NAICS for this acquistion is 335999. NIH, National Institute on Aging, Gerontology Research Center intends to purchase one (1) Version 8 of pCLAMP program, Windows compatible, Pentium 133MHz or faster required; one (1) Digidata 1322A, 500 kHz data acquisition system; two (2) Microelectrode Axopatch 200B amplifier includes: CV 203BU headstage, PATCH-1U model cell and MCB-1U model bilayer, DR-1 dither kit, HL-U holder; assorted minor accessories and a manual; one (1) Axopatch 1D Microelectrode Amplifier includes: CV-4-1/100U headstage; PATCH-1U model cell; HL-U holder, assorted minor accessories and a manual. The following factors will be used to evaluate offers in descending order of importance: 1) technical capability, 2) price, 3) past performance. The following FAR provisions apply to this solicitation: 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors-Commerical; 52.212-2 Evaluation-Commerical Items. All offerors are to include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offerors Representations and Certifications-Commerical Items, with their offer. The following FAR clauses apply to this acquisition: 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commerical Items; Along with the following additional FAR clauses, cited in clause 52.215-5; 52.222-26 Equal Opportunity; Employment Reports on Special Disabled Veterans and Veterans of the Vietnam Era; 52.225-3 Buy American Act-Supplies. The following provisions also apply to this acquisition, 52.232-33 Mandatory Information for Electronic Funds Transfer Payment. An award wil be made 7 days from the date of this notice of 03/06/01, 5:00 PM Eastern Time.
