Description

The Carderock Division Naval Surface Warfare Center intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with Analytical Methods for technical/engineering services. The contractor will assist in the development of a computer based submarine control surface design and analysis capability to replace the Navy's Design Data Sheet (DDS) 562. The contractor shall provide technical support for the development and implementation of design procedures for spade, fixed, and flapped control surfaces, will define and document the control surface design procedures required to implement the process developed in FY 1999 for all moveables, flapped and fixed submarine control surfaces. The contractor shall develop a control data file that has the ability for each of the component programs within the system to read a common geometry and ship control system definition file. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements under the authority of FAR 6.302.1. Anticipated award is on or about 3/21/01.
