Description
Customs is planning on issuing a non-competitive purchase order to Pacific Applied Technologies Corp. (PATC) to test the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) solution to accomplish this connectivity (i.e., migrating their mainframe applications to be server-based). They still require connectivity to both the FBI and NLETS for the FFL application. This task addresses the testing of the compatability of the PATC software to process the ATF data correctly and at the same time, not impact the USCS and other agency's functionality which uses the same PATC software. The access which USCS provides to ATF which gives them connectivity bo both the FBI and NLETS is a licensed proprietary software package developed by PATC. This product operates in an IBM-mainframe based environment. The ATF program currently operates on an IBM-mainframe platform and communicates with compatible IBM-mainframe based software and hardware in the Customs
