Description

The Mature and Proven Aircraft Directorate of the Ogden Air Logistics Center, Hill AFB, Utah (OO-ALC/LC) is directing the redesign of the wing for the T-38 supersonic trainer aircraft. The current effort will result in a complete data package suitable for full and open procurement of new production wings in approximately 2004. Several Industry Days will be conducted during the manufacture of components for the prototype test article in the on-going redesign effort. Industry Days will be open to potential sources for follow-on production wing manufacturing. Industry Day participants will be given a presentation on the manufacturing process(es) and then the participants will be allowed to view the process(es) during fabrication of the prototype test article. The USAF will handle all communication between the Industry Day participants and the contractor who is redesigning the T-38 wing. All Industry Day participants shall sign a nondisclosure agreement. A maximum of four people will be permitted to represent an Industry Day participant The following Industry Days have been scheduled: Fabrication of Lower Wing Skin Location: Alson Manufacturing 2301 S.
