THIS IS AN AMENDMENT TO THE COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY (CBD) ANNOUNCEMENT NUMBER 50C553 ON FEBRUARY 1, 2001 -- PROCUREMENT NOTICE For Invitation for Bid; Solicitation N68711-01-B-0405 TO REPAIR VARIOUS ROOFS, BUILDINGS 01400, 00005, AND 32544, AT THE NAVAL AIR WEAPONS STATION, CHINA LAKE, CA 93555-6100. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The work includes furnishing all labor, supervision, materials and equipment necessary to provide demolition of existing ballasted EPDM and rigid insulated roofs and provide new insulated and built-up roofs. This solicitation will be issued on or about March 24, 2001 over the Internet at http://esol.navfac.navy.mil as an Electronic Bid Solicitation (EBS). The response time required by FAR 5.203 will begin on the date EBS solicitation is issued. EBS solicitation packages must obtained by registration and download at the Internet EBS Web Site only. All prospective bidders must have a current registration in the Central Contractor's Register at http://www.ccr2000.com. All prospective bidders and plan centers must register as planholders on the Internet Web Site for this project. The Official Plan Holders list will be maintained on and must be printed from our website at http://esol.navfac.navy.mil. Each company must indicate its name, address, phone number, e-mail address, business size, and if it is classified by the Small Business Administration as disadvantaged or woman owned. Performance time is 240 calendar days. The tentative issue date is on or about March 24, 2001 with the bid opening date approximately 30 days later. The SIC code is 1761. The NAICS code is 235610. The related small business standard is $11.5 million. The cost range is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. All prospective bidders should request this specification on or before the Bid Opening date of April 24, 2001 by downloading from http://esol.navfac.navy.mil. The Job Site Visit is scheduled for April 10, 2001 at 9:00 A.M. Invitation for Bids will not be provided in a paper hard copy format. This office anticipates that most of the administration of the contract will be via paperless transmissions. We prefer that interested contractors have the capability to transmit and receive all actions required in the contract electronically.
