Description
This revises the original synopsis posted on 3/1/2001. The following information is provided and added to the specification for the docks: A minimum of 50 each cleats shall be provided for the docks. Contractors shall include three each aluminum brows (gangplanks) with their quotes. Brows shall be a minimum of fourteen feet in length. Any couplers, assembly hardware, mounting brackets (stiff arms) shall be stainless steel. Water depth for end of finger docks is normally no more than thirty-five feet. Docks shall be exposed to approximately one foot wave action. The bottom consists of mud and soot and stability is unknown. A dead weight method for anchoring piers is preferred. If the dead weight method is used, Government shall provide chains and dead weights to anchor piers. Contractor shall provide any dock attachments or components required to anchor the piers. The main dock shall be attached to a concrete quaywall. Contractor shall provide all necessary hardware for attachment to the concrete wall. The contractor shall provide a minimum of four connection points to the wall for anchoring the main dock.
